Hi! I'm Amanda Erickson. I have been providing individual therapy and couples therapy for 17 years now. I hold a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in Nelson, BC. I have been in the field of social services for 25 years. I work with clients to improve well being in day to day life. I provide support for people around issues like relationships, emotional regulation, communication difficulties, trauma, anxiety, depression, parenting issues, attachment issues, substance use, and grief and loss.
I support couples to find new ways to connect, communicate, and deepen intimacy. I work with individual clients to improve general well being and happiness. I practice trauma informed therapy. I have extensive cultural training. I am experienced in communication, couples counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, grief, parenting, and more.
I work to create a safe and supportive client-centered therapeutic relationship. I will help you to resolve difficult issues and find new ways to approach your life. I can assist you in reducing anxiety and depression issues. I have experience working with Indigenous people, people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
