I am inspired by people who are trying to address significant challenges in their lives. It is difficult to do this alone. I see myself as someone who can listen with empathy, support you to process your experiences, and collaborate with you to identify a way forward that makes sense to you. My approach to psychotherapy is client centered. I am not here to judge but to create a safe and respectful environment for you to explore your concerns. I believe that every individual possesses an innate ability for self-direction and problem-solving. I also believe that developing self-awareness is critical to support growth and healing.
In addition to psychotherapy, I am a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist. I use somatic or body awareness to help clients notice the story their body is telling, and to experience their body as a place of safety and support.
I acknowledge that each person comes with a unique cultural and social background, and I honour that by bringing openness, curiosity and respect to my work with you.
