I am a counsellor at MindScape Psychology in Medicine Hat, AB. I work with clients who want to feel more capable and confident in the face of difficult times and personal challenges, whether it be stress, anxiety, trauma, or grief. I aim to help clients build and maintain meaningful and healthy relationships, cultivate self-compassion, and support them with life transitions and new directions. Above all, I strive to provide a sacred and safe space for clients to be unconditionally and empathically heard and supported.
The main theoretical approaches and modalities I use in my practice include attachment, CBT, expressive arts, narrative, person-centered, and solution-focused. I also draw from dialectical behaviour therapy with communication skills, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance.
Struggling with your mental health can leave you feeling stuck, helpless, and lost. I can help by relentlessly offering you a sense of hope and guidance to meet you where you’re at. Because I understand that change is hard work, I will share the load and walk alongside you as an unwavering source of support and unconditional acceptance.
