When it comes to working with children, youth, and young adults, the most common story I hear is that they do not feel seen or understood. Without feeling safe they can become stuck in a continuous loop of fight or flight responses. This can lead to meltdowns, avoidance, aggression, and risk-taking behaviours. Understanding that they are doing the best they can, I aim to help young people thrive within systems that do not always support living outside the “standard box.” All I ask is that you be curious to try something new together to see what it feels like to be your true self and live the life that matters most to you!
I specialize in working with young people (ages 6-21) and their caregivers. I tailor my interventions based on ACT, DBT, and ERP's to meet my client’s interests. We may engage in drawing and imaginative play; listen to music; take pictures; find our inner superhero; or face fears in a safe space.
I believe that when young people feel seen and heard, anything is possible! I specialize in working with clients who are looking for support in navigating OCD, anxiety, perfectionism, ADHD, autism, giftedness, gender and sexuality, and overlapping challenges and concerns.
