I have been working in the counselling/psychology field for over fifteen years, supporting adults moving towards positive growth in their life. I have a diverse professional background which includes lecturing, teaching, and supporting adults in their professional development. I have experience supporting those struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. In addition, I utilize the insights from CBT, client centered therapy, the Gottman method, and solution focused to support my clients.
I operate from a trauma informed lens and the primary scope of my practice is supporting individuals with their personal challenges and past traumas, and providing them with coping strategies, with the goal of moving them towards positive growth and healing. I use this approach when providing couples counselling that is aimed at repairing past traumas.
I strive to support others through a variety of challenges with a non-judgemental lens, and I firmly believe in the inherent ability for people to heal and grow. I invite you to connect with me for a free 15-minute consultation to see if we may be a good fit. please visit mcateepsychology.com or call the clinic at 403-902-2234.
