My passion is helping children and adolescents to feel better understood, and to have the skills and confidence to better manage their external (e.g., friendships, school performance) and internal (e.g., emotions, urges) worlds. Using gold-standard psychological assessment tools, I can provide clarity around diagnostic questions including ASD, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and learning disorders in order to make recommendations that will benefit a child going forward. With respect to therapy, I use evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT skills, and ACT to help youth manage big feelings and function more effectively.

My practice currently focusses on Neurofeedback. Seeing a Neurofeedback therapist is a different kind of therapy experience. The main focus of your sessions is on improving your brain health and retraining your brain waves so that you’ll begin to feel better, sooner. Neurofeedback can help with a wide range of difficulties including those related to mental health and wellness, ADHD, ASD, learning struggles, disrupted sleep, mTBI/concussions, and long Covid. It is therapy with the brain in mind. Neurofeedback is a way of teaching the nervous system how to regulate itself, getting it 'unstuck' and more flexible and resilient.

I assess for learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, autism, and other diagnoses.
Hi, I'm Keely. I complete assessments for individuals between the ages of 5 and 22. Most people think comprehensive assessments produce lengthy reports with complex language and few practical recommendations. I aim to write family-friendly reports with everyday strategies to support students across multiple environments. The families I work with appreciate my communication throughout the assessment process and my strengths-based approach.

Hi! I’m really happy you found my page. My main focus areas are adults who are diagnosed with ADHD, relational and childhood trauma, as well as relationship issues. Many times, my client and I work at the intersection of all these three, since they are so highly connected to one another. Maybe you’ve always felt so different from everyone else, you’ve struggled to do things that seem to come so easily to others. No matter how hard you try, it seems like you always fall short, leaving you with feelings of not being good enough, not trusting yourself, and feeling anxious and/or hopeless. If this is you, I can help!

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
