Finding the right therapist can be overwhelming and sometimes it takes meeting more than one person before settling on the right person for you. Working with a therapist, whether for a brief encounter or a long collaboration, is a journey. My goal is to ensure that your very first contact with me is a positive and helpful one. I have advanced training and expertise in working with toddlers, children and adolescents as a registered play therapist. Working from a developmentally-informed perspective I collaborate with parents so they can better understand and best support their children.
Starting from your expertise as a parent, I tailor my approach to meet your child's individual needs and will help find solutions to your concerns that will fit your family. My work with adults and adolescents is informed by this same approach.
Play therapy is an inherently creative process and I extend the use of creativity to my work with adolescents and adults by weaving in the expressive arts in therapy. The arts can allow a deepening of self-reflection and insight, and a unique source of inspiration.
