Hello and welcome to my private practice for Ontario residents. I am a registered social worker (RSW). I have over 10 years of experience helping people with: recovery from addiction, managing anxiety and mood (depression), recovering from trauma (PTSD), self-esteem, navigating stress, burnout, managing a diagnosis, grief and loss, improving relationships and communication skills, sexual health and wellbeing, to name a few. I have worked for over 20 years providing services for: diverse LGBTQ+ communities; and over 10 years for individuals with, and families managing complex mental and physical health diagnosis and disabilities.
I am a Certified Solution Focused Therapist (CSFT). I am also well-versed in many forms of psychotherapy (scroll down to see below). I aim to help you identify and build on what is working more so than 'fix' what is 'broken.' I offer single-session, brief and longer term therapy, as well as couples work. I also provide clinical supervision in SFBT.
Small change leads to bigger change. I aim to help you to shrink and break down overwheling challenges into workable steps. I aim to help you identify and activate useful change as quickly as possible, sometimes within a single session. I aim to help you (re) discover tools you may be surprised you already have, had forgotten, and uncover and learn new ones.
