There will always be situations in life that don’t make sense to us; natural disasters, sudden loss, violence close to home or far away. Together we can deconstruct obstacles that feel too big to face alone; we can see your goodness, skills, and hope separate from your struggles; and we can build goals that feel possible. Prior to being a mental health practitioner I worked in Human Services and teaching. I have worked with diverse populations that have neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD, FASD, ASD), mood disorders, trauma, and anxiety.

I work with clients around anxiety, depression, grief and loss, anger management, self-esteem issues, stress management, marital distress and communication concerns, as well as emotional regulation, mindfulness skills training, distress tolerance, and trauma.
I am a Registered Psychologist with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Alberta. My approach to therapy emphasizes the importance of confronting our painful emotions and experiences from a place of safety, curiosity, and honesty. I work with individuals and couples as well as teens and youth. I also have a special interest in working with men. I believe that men are often under resourced when it comes to accessing, expressing, and understanding their emotions, often leading to painful, yet avoidable, experiences.

I am a Registered Psychologist and have been supporting clients for over 12 years in their pursuits of living more healthy and fulfilling lives. I predominately work with clients that have experienced trauma, in addition to other concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, and stress. I believe that trauma involves feeling or experiencing a profound lack of safety. For that reason, I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and trusting space that allows for all of life's challenges to be addressed in a way that feels as safe as possible.

I help clients with childhood trauma, life transitions, anxiety, relationship concerns, narcissistic abuse, and hair loss.
Sometimes we get stuck in our story and feel like we're spinning our wheels, unable to get going again. Trauma and past wounds seem to hold us back from engaging with life. I've sure felt this way. And I'm here to let you know that your story matters - and that YOU matter. Whether your struggles are showing up as anxiety, hypervigilance, relationship issues, etc., I strive to create an environment where you can show up just as you are so that you can begin to feel safe and understood to start unpacking your experience. And maybe, just maybe, move towards different patterns and acceptance!
