As a counselor I recognize my privilege and am honored to be a part of your journey. Working with me means that I see you as the expert of your lived experiences. At the end of the day we are all unique in our wants, needs, and desires, and what works for some does not mean it will always work for everyone. My aim is to work with you and meet you where you are at so we can figure out what is working, what needs to change, and how we can get there together. After all, this is YOUR journey. Counselling with me is a collaborative process where your voice, opinions, and experiences matter, are important, and are valid.

Whether we believe it or not, our lived experiences have created a core belief about ourselves and influences a core language we use to describe ourselves, which prevents us from being our authentic self or the desire to change. Here's a truth, you have permission. You have the permission to change, to grow, to develop, to advocate for what you need, create new habits and, to unlearn and learn again. The beauty in the journey is you don’t have to do it alone and I’m here to journey with you.

I help clients shift from just surviving into thriving; realigning with who and how they want to be instead of being hijacked by outdated narratives as a result of past experiences. My focus is on creating safe trauma-informed spaces and inspiring a compassionate curiosity about "who am I?" "How did I get to this point?" "What else might be possible?". I have always been fascinated with how our experiences shape us and how we may discover meaning and inspiration. During this quest I have worked as a strength & conditioning coach, yoga teacher, and counsellor and these experiences have uniquely shaped how I show up as a therapist.

People come into therapy, often, because they are in a crisis of some kind - personally or relationally. They are at a cross-roads; they are filled with indecision. They may not know 'where to start' when I ask them what brings them into therapy, but they know that they feel very far away from themselves; they feel very far away from contentment or happiness. Maybe there has been a 'tipping point' that underscores the urgency to look at self-destructive patterns. In the midst of the crisis is also a clarity, a readiness, a yearning for change - for wholeness.

The struggles we face today, if not addressed, will interfere with our confidence, relationships and careers. I equip people with the mental and emotional fitness required to identify and remove the obstacles hijacking our stories. The problem is pain, trauma, and repeated hardship can keep us from accessing our natural potential. By processing our suffering we can summon the hope and courage to choose for ourselves, how we want to live.

Do you want to explore your differences? Perhaps you are a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), neurodivergent (Autism, ADHD, etc.), gifted, 2slgbtqia+, intense, a parent of a high needs child, or different in some other way. Humans are social animals; our brains are built for connection. We crave safe relationships to support us to feel, heal, deal, and grow. We all want to be the best version of ourselves, we just may not know what our best self looks like, or, may lack the support and experience required to discover such. When we are supported to identify and address the unmet needs that may block us from feeling like 'our best', we gain a greater sense of self. By understanding the impact of our relationships, attachments, and environments, we are able to truly make sense of the choices we make, and actions we may - or may not - take.
