The focus of my practice is to treat people who have emotional dysregulation - stress! This can be due to a mood or personality disorder, chronic pain, trauma or complex trauma, military service, or a major life transition. I use practical, evidence based therapies such as DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Clinical Hypnosis, and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to help you fulfill your goals, getting back to living a meaningful, peaceful, productive life. One focus of my practice is treating current military members and veterans.

You deserve to feel excited about life, to like who you are, and to feel more than just stress and worry! I think many people are nervous when it comes to the idea of therapy/counselling because there is sometimes a fear that if I face the music, will it just get louder? Well, I want to provide you with a space that allows you to control the volume, while I help guide you and support you through the process. I want you to reach your goals, overcome emotional suffering, and develop the skills you need to feel empowered as you navigate this complex thing, we call life.

I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and ADHD. I work with clients to set personal and educational goals, accept anxiety as an important and useful tool, develop positive self-identity and establish meaningful relationships. By implementing positive behavioral changes, developing social skills and/or parenting programs we can work together to improve your relationship with yourself, your family and others. I also have experience providing post-secondary students with academic strategy sessions.
