I offer a FREE "Music for Mental Health" Support Group in collaboration with the Black Community Resource Center of Montreal (BCRC). The BCRC is a non-profit organization supporting English-speaking visible minorities in Montreal with an emphasis on members of the Black Community. This is a 4-week ZOOM series with two goals: 1) To foster safe and healthy connections within the group as we share and experience music together. 2) To explore how engaging with music can support mental health in daily life. The next group begins on March 9th, 2024.

Do you struggle with emotional pain and grief that you would like to process through music? I work with adults experiencing grief and loss, bereavement, life transitions, emotional pain, anxiety, depression, and stress. I use music therapy to help my clients increase self-awareness, ease pain, develop self-soothing techniques, and restore well-being. We will harness your natural love of music to create personal transformation. Music Therapy is a certified profession. I completed a masters degree with a focus on music therapy for psychological health, and my approach is trauma-informed.
In art therapy group, participants use artistic expression as a therapeutic tool to explore their emotions, improve mental well-being, and address personal challenges. The process of creating art—whether through painting, drawing, or sculpting—enables individuals to visualize and confront feelings that may be difficult to articulate verbally. By focusing on art making rather than the final product, participants can engage with their emotions in a non-threatening way, which can lead to greater self-awareness and insight into their personal struggles and foster a supportive environment where individuals can freely express themselves and develop new coping strategies.

Hello, radiant soul! I am an Art Therapist and Social Worker. I specialize in trauma and I work with children, adults, and families to help them recognize and affirm their resilience and resources. I aim to offer a safe haven for self-discovery and transformation through creative arts. I see humans as the artists of their lives, who use a unique pallet to distinguish and define them. I am a guest on their inner journey, helping them to navigate their emotions, memories, and identities that shape their whole person. My role is to support my clients to find creative paths to heal, repair and develop better coping skills.
