Limited to 10 men, this support group runs for 6 weeks at a time with our October-November intake occurring on a weekday evening, time to be announced when we open intake in late September. The group focus is on Men's issues which can include emotional connection with oneself and communicating that to other guys, dealing with our anger, and relationship support.
The process of healing begins from within, so I invite you reach out to me today to get started on your journey building back your relationship with yourself and others.
Currently accepting male clients & couples. I support Men heal their relationship with themselves and to those who are in their life. The relationship you have with yourself is the most important one, how you communicate with yourself will be a direct reflection of how you communicate with the world around you. You may have built up internal defences to block you from feeling your emotional experience from a young age out of a need to survive and fit in, all the while boosting your performance-based esteem. We work on your relationship with yourself first and then to those around you in your life to start the reconnection process.

My vision is to guide clients, so they are empowered to make positive decisions in their life.
I remember my first experience with a counselor…I was 16, nervous, unaware of the process and unsure if I would be understood due to my cultural differences. My upbringing, social influences, and experiences as the eldest daughter of immigrant parents have shaped my approach as a counsellor. I believe that a counselor is a guide in a clients journey of healing and self-awareness. My practice is rooted in a holistic approach and I utilize techniques that integrate physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual health. I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker and Registered Clinical Counsellor. I fluently speak Punjabi & English.
In this group we work on unraveling our 'inner critic'. Working towards self-compassion, rather than self criticism is beneficial as it helps us resist shame and self blame. I use the works of Kristen Neff, Pema Chodron and Tara Brach in this group. NOVEMBER 18, 25 / DECEMBER 2/9/16

Moments of struggle are inevitable. However, when we are at a crossroads, we can begin seeing ourselves more clearly. My practice, Liminal Space Counselling, is founded on the idea that the space between two points in our lives is a chance to reflect and begin again. I also offer a group on Self Compassion.

It often feels like a big step to reach out and seek help when we need it.
I offer an individualized approach to adapting & growing with life challenges. I help people with issues such as: traumatic experiences and loss, relationship issues, anxiety, insomnia, & chronic stress. I love working with people to develop their own internal resources, gain new skills, develop curiosity, insight and clarity, and explore new ways of seeing and being at times of difficulty and transition in their lives. I also have experience providing counselling for other health professionals and first responders. I know how hard it can be to take the time and find ways to care for ourselves.
Group is offered every 3 months and the next cycle beings July 2023. Clients will learn how to manage stress and negative thinking, learning new coping skills, and understand the effect of anxiety and depression on our health and lives. Working in a group is very different than individual sessions and often is supportive and validating for clients to connect with others who may be sharing a similar experience to themselves. The group will be online with the potential to be in-person if members all agree. Cost is $333.00 (CAN) for 8 weeks. Payment must be made in full upon registration.
I use an intuitive, empathic, and heart-centered approach to create an environment of safety, trust, support, honesty, and mutual respect for you.
Small changes in how you think and feel can lead to an amazing life. Together, we can create lasting transformation, healing, and help you fulfill your goals, so you can experience greater peace and happiness. This is for women that have a spouse that has under gone prostate cancer treatment. Often women are forgotten when cancer treatment effects their life greatly. This is an opportunity for women to share ideas, pain, wins and losses. a community of women coming together for support.
I often find that relationships have become extremely fragile before the idea of counselling comes into play.
My focus is on Relationship Counselling. This encompasses all forms of relationships on an individual, couple or group counselling basis. Often when clients come in, clarification may be needed in order for clients to fully understand their part in a relationship. If this is the case, the first sessions will be on how to communicate from a grounded, rational viewpoint. Once this is achieved, clients will move into the next phase of deep relational emotion focused counselling to allow for a deeper understanding of self and each other.

My background as an immigrant and my experience living and working in different countries have provided me with unique insights into how culture background, homeland, and family lineage influence personal experiences.
I help people regain control of their relationships and their lives. If you feel burdened by something that happened in the past, or if your current relationship is not supportive, I can help you clarify your feelings and decide on the best plan for you. Often, our decisions are clouded by emotions such as guilt, shame, anxiety, worries, sadness, and hidden anger. Once we uncover what's really going on and help you connect with your authentic self, the heaviness will lift and you will naturally know what to do. You don't have to navigate this alone and I am here to help! Check out my google review on True Presence Counselling

Potential additional benefits may include increased physical relaxation and improved physiological functioning by the Japanese hot-tile spa experience. Drop-ins accepted!
I hope you will be comfortable telling me which direction you’d like us to go and about your needs/wants.

Over the years I have work with individuals, couples, families, groups, and have provided specialized services for employers in areas of mindfulness/meditation, stress-reduction, assistance for first responders, and areas of critical incident stress management (CISM).
Having worked as a Kinesiologist, Physical Therapist, Firefighter, and now a Psychologist, I consider my counselling approach to be a personal trainer to balance the Mind, Body, and Spiritual systems. As a Spiritual Psychologist I conceptualize each client as a unique Soul that chose to be on this amazing planet at this challenging time, with lessons along the way. My research and clinical experience has expanded from mainstream psychological techniques (EMDR, ACT, EFT, CBT, etc.) into areas of consciousness, reincarnation, past-lives, and the paranormal. I incorporate mindfulness and meditation techniques to rewire these systems.
