Zachary Gerdes, Ph.D., is a Captain in the United States Air Force and the Director of Psychological Health at his current duty station. He is a guest lecturer at Air University and previously taught at the University of Akron and Northeast Ohio Medical University. He held previous counseling positions at the Veterans Health Administration, Cleveland Clinic, Seattle Police Department, and Seattle University. His prior research experience includes roles at the VA, Ron Levant's Gender Research Lab, and the Gottman Relationship Research Institute. He regularly presents nationally and publishes in the top journals in his field. He is the author of Man Kind: Tools for Mental Health, Well-Being, and Modernizing Masculinity published by Johns Hopkins.
