Trevor Watkins, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Management at the Price College of Business, University of Oklahoma. He received his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Washington. Prior to Academia, he spent seven years as a human resource professional in the financial services and manufacturing industries. He is currently researching topics related to employee well-being, positive event disclosures, and health and wellness behaviors. He ultimately posits that employees will be more successful in the long term when they work a bit less and instead dedicate more time to cultivating their health and relationships.

Professor Watkins’ work has appeared in academic journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and Journal of Management. In addition, his work has been featured in the popular press at sources such as the Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, Forbes, WebMD, BBC, and ABC News. He proudly lives in Norman, Oklahoma, with his wife and children. In his free time, he enjoys running, cycling, and engaging with his family.
