Lucas Richert Ph.D.
Lucas Richert, Ph.D., is George Urdang Chair in the History of Pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He's also the Historical Director at the American Institute of the History of Pharmacy. He has studied and worked at universities in Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, and Saskatoon.
Lucas has published several books including Break On Through: Radical Psychiatry and the American Counterculture, Strange Trips: Science, Culture, and the Regulation of Drugs, and Conservatism, Consumer Choice, and the FDA: A Prescription for Scandal. His books and other writings focus on various topics related to pharmaceuticals, illegal substances, and mental medicine. He's also the editor of The Social History of Alcohol and Drugs and History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals.
