Jennifer Henderson, Ph.D., began the Coping with Long COVID blog because of her own family’s struggles with long COVID. As a disabled veteran, she deeply understands the frustration, grief, and anguish of living with an invisible illness.

She is a clinical psychologist with the Washington Anxiety Center of Capitol Hill. She has extensive experience in such evidence-based treatments as Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and CBT for pain and insomnia. Her collaborative and holistic approach emphasizes empowering people to better manage life’s challenges, cultivate meaning, and rediscover joy.

Licensed in Washington D.C. and the state of Washington, Dr. Henderson also holds an active Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) authorization granted by the PSYPACT Commission, allowing her to see patients in more than 30 states.
