Two decades ago, Janelle E. Wells, Ph.D., earned a collegiate athletic scholarship, later becoming a collegiate coach, working in the private sector, and then transitioning into the classroom as an associate professor at the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business, teaching in the Vinik Sport and Entertainment Management Program. She is the author of a forthcoming book, Our (In)visible Work, to be published in late August 2024, laying the groundwork for a transformation in American society. As a lifelong learner, Dr. Wells’ experience in the male-prevalent industry of sport and entertainment inspired award-winning research in organizational behavior, focused on leadership, career development, and gender equity, and published in outlets such as the Journal of Sport Management and the Leadership & Organizational Development Journal. Her contributions include 100-plus published works and presentations. For the past 15 years, she has put theory into practice, partnering with several properties and brands. Dr. Wells has partnered with the Tampa Bay Lightning to create the Lightning Leadership Line, an initiative dedicated to helping individuals with personal and professional development. She co-founded WellsQuest, a consulting firm dedicated to fostering the growth of leaders, teams, and communities through individualized and transformative development programs. She is a certified facilitator in DiSC and PeopleBest assessments, partnering to help develop and enhance talent through interactive and customized curricula and workshops. Dr. Wells has a Ph.D. from the University of Florida in health and human performance.

Doreen MacAulay, Ph.D., is a facilitator, author, and university professor with 20+ years of experience in organizational and personal development. Dr. MacAulay is an award-winning professor at the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business, where she teaches in the fields of leadership, organizational behavior, and management to undergraduate, graduate, and executive students. She is the author of a forthcoming book, Our (In)visible Work, to be published in late August 2024, identifying work often overlooked in workplaces today. Dr. MacAulay previously worked as a human resource and training manager at Hilton International. She has worked with Fortune 100 and 500 corporations, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions to help develop and enhance their approach to human resources and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging through interactive and customized workshops. She has a Ph.D. in management from St. Mary’s University in Nova Scotia, Canada. Her research focuses on gender equity, organizational change, and identity.
