Xuan (pronounced Shen) provides evidence-based and person-centred treatment with adolescents, adults, couples and families from diverse cultural, linguistic, and economic backgrounds. She aims to provide a warm space where clients could form an in-depth understanding of themselves, to reflect on existing or past experiences, and to learn and grow at a pace that suits them. She has gained experience in the provision of psychological treatment for a variety of mental health difficulties within private and non for profit settings. She emphasises on collaboration and utilises an empathic and explorative approach.
Therapeutic approaches include CBT, ACT and CBT -E for individuals, Gottman Method and Emotionally Focussed therapy for couples and Family Based Therapy. Xuan also incorporates compassion and attachment-informed theories into her practice. Additionally, Xuan has experience in providing ADHD, ASD and learning difficulty assessment.
