I take an integrated, person-centred, and flexible approach to therapy; understanding and appreciating the varied and individual circumstances that may bring someone to therapy. I encourage curiosity and authenticity in my practice, inviting clients to explore their concerns and difficulties together, recognise their innate strengths and capabilities, and investigate how we may feel and respond to the things that challenge us. I believe we all have the power to heal our wounds.

I believe we all deserve a supportive space where we can safely explore the issues that matter to us, at our own pace. I aim to facilitate that space and provide a service based on a collaborative style, where clients are active participants and can exercise their autonomy whilst enhancing their understanding of themselves, their inner, and outer world. You may be feeling stuck, anxious, or depressed, while you try to navigate your experiences. I believe that by gaining insight and self awareness you can make meaning of these experiences and find your own answers, create and achieve your goals, and reach a new beginning.

I was mentored for a long time as a person-centred counsellor which subseuqently led me into specialising in motivational interviewing and then a number of different therapies (Acceptance committment, Solution-focussed, CBT).
I don't think there really is any such thing as an ideal client... my preference is someone who wants a combination of 'offloading' to a skilled listener and provision of psychological skills/strategies to help make their situation better.

We provide a person-centred approach to brain-based therapy that is designed to educate, empower, engage, and facilitate processes of growth, self-awareness, and self-healing. Keystone Therapy has developed a model of the root causes of behaviour. The model is holistic in that it integrates neurobiological, social and cultural impacts upon the psychological processes that underlie mental health. Introducing new learning, which brings about changes in the brain, results in concomitant changes in behaviour. Thus, through utilizing the brain’s inherent ability (“neuroplasticity”) to form new neural connections new behaviours arise.

Using a person-centred, empathic approach, I draw on various theories and evidence-based methods to address your specific needs.
Are you struggling right now? Do you feel overwhelmed or alone? Is it challenging to get through the day, interact with others, manage circumstances, or heal from past trauma? Whether your concerns are significant life events, relationship conflicts, troubles with coping, poor mental health or barriers to self-development, I may be able to help. Engaging in counselling/psychotherapy means having support while working towards insight and healing, enhancing relationships, or developing healthier coping strategies and ways of thinking that can lead to improved wellbeing and quality of life.
