Hi! My goal is to provide compassionate, effective support to couples navigating the complexities of their relationships. I help couples turn things around and rediscover connection, resolve constant conflicts, and rebuild trust. My primary focus is working with couples who are experiencing disconnection in their relationships, often stemming from conflict, poor communication habits, affairs and trauma. Whether it's frequent arguments, a sense of growing apart, or unresolved issues that continue to resurface, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for couples to explore their feelings and expectations in the relationship.

Choosing a therapist is hard, yeah? We're all a bit mad. And different. And individual. And that's OK. A lot of us came to the field trying to make sense of our own selves. With some insight and understanding, it gets a lot easier. Then we can change. Then we can heal. Then we can accept. I tend to work with folk with complex psycho-social issues under the NDIS, but we're all human. Most people have got something really tricky in the present that needs an intervention of sorts, and can hopefully be avoided by understanding how they got there. All of us hurt.

The counselling services enable clients to gain insight into their thoughts, feelings and behaviours via approaches which include talking, reflecting, and mindfulness. I build a collaborative working relationship with clients, sensitively tailoring the support to meet specific needs. Creating a ‘therapeutic alliance’ is where clients feel safe and supported to explore difficult situations, and understand emotions, reactions and responses. The therapeutic alliance provides opportunities to talk through, find resolution and work towards making the desired changes to improve wellbeing while facilitating personal growth and development.

Family Systems Counsellors
Family Systems therapists view problems within the family as the result not of particular members' behaviors, but of the family's group dynamic. The family is seen as a complex system having its own language, roles, rules, beliefs, needs and patterns. The therapist helps each individual member understand how their childhood family operated, their role in that system, and how that experience has shaped their role in the current family.
