If you are looking for support from a compassionate and engaged psychologist that will a) take the time to understand where you're at; b) set goals with you so we know where we're heading together; c) provide practical tools you can actually use to do life differently and d) isn't afraid to challenge you (gently) when needed.
I am a registered psychologist with experience in both therapeutic and corporate psychology. I provide empathetic, warm and holistic support to clients who are navigating life challenges, such as anxiety, low mood, managing chronic health conditions or pain, relationship problems, low self-esteem or self-worth, or managing transitions. Clients I work with often find themselves overwhelmed and uncertain about the next steps. I collaborate with them to re-establish a connection with themselves, identify their desires and needs, and together, we chart a course towards achieving those goals, and take it step by step.

We will work together as partners to bring your vision and goals to life.
Are you forever in dread of the doorbell? Do you feel overwhelmed by the way you’re living and wish you could let go of possessions so you can live a full life with less? Or are you ready to let go of a lost loved one's things but don't think you have the ability to handle the raw emotions it will raise? At times our possessions provide us with comfort, remind us of people who have past through our lives, or help us feel in control in a world of chaos and constant change. However, if you are spending hours of your day dealing with, thinking about, or accumulating possessions instead of doing other valuable activities you need help.

I'm Rachel, and I offer somatic coaching to help you relate to your body in new ways that awaken and expand your capacity to live in harmony with your innate rhythm.
The supremacy dream has left us frozen, fragmented and disconnected from ourselves, others, and our ecosystem. Working through our body allows us to touch our vital force of life and come closer to our true desires and dreams. When we feel a sense of safety and belonging within ourselves, we enter into deeper intimacy with our wider webs of love - to our kin, the earth and the cosmos. In a world where the dominant narrative is to hustle more to accomplish your dreams, as your somatic coach, I am here to help your nervous system work less hard so you can relax into your Being and trust your inner inklings for what’s next.

Hypnosis is not whoo hoo. It is using a flow state to connect to solutions, using imagination, visualisation to get unstuck and find solutions to concerns or achieve goals. Trained by Dr Rob McNeilly who learned from Milton Erickson himself. I feel blessed to pass on this wonderful gift of healing to my patients. I have used hypnosis for pain, addiction, coaching, mental health, anxiety, couples therapy, corporate coaching, creative blocks and more.

This means that if you are ready to deeply explore the underlying issues that are keeping you from living an authentic and fulfilling life using evidenced based therapies, I am the right kind of therapist for you.
You have tools and skills to manage your symptoms and are pretty good at changing your thoughts about a situation, but your feelings are still “stuck”. You don’t like traditional talk therapy and want to explore some evidence-based experiential techniques instead. If this you, I would be able to assist you. For more information, please visit my website https:/www.innerharmonywellness.com.au. Currently, I am mostly offering Telehealth-based counselling; some in-person sessions for EMDR trauma re-processing sessions.

Through life experience including managing my own events marketing business for over 25 years as well as the challenges and celebrations of parenting three now adult children, this has put me in good stead to understand and respect life's many transitions.
Change whether positive or negative, planned or unexpected can generate stress and anxiety, but there is always a path forward so that you can emerge healthier, happier and more able to cope. With the right guidance and support you can learn to navigate destructive emotions like anger, shame, guilt, sadness and loneliness and learn how to re-evaluate your values and set achievable goals.

Coping demands life on life's terms: presence, attentiveness & availability to ourselves, our relationships & the needs & values that sustain both; a better ability to live with ourselves - 'going with' not 'in resistance to' life's challenges.
So many concerns come from overthinking & believing what we think too often. So many concerns come from overthinking & believing what we think too often. Circumstances can be challenging/overwhelming. We can become depressed/anxious, which can affect relationships; especially after recent/past traumatic experiences, or distressing/unsupportive family relationships, which can negatively affect our ability to cope, & our view of ourselves & our place in the world. Mindfulness-based cognitive behaviour therapy (ACT/CBT/Schema Therapy/MET) can effectively address unhelpful patterns of thinking & behaviour.

Life Coaching Counsellors

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
