Trauma & Stress disconnects us from ourselves and from life, inhibiting us from moving forward and making the most of everyday events and activities. When our body feels uneasy, it gives us messages. The purpose of these messages is to let us know that something inside doesn't feel right and needs our attention. If these messages go unanswered, over time they evolve into symptoms; anxiety, depression, panic, attacks, digestive issues, pain, burn out, sleep disturbances just to name a few.
My specialty and approach is a body-oriented one that helps you handle the stress response better and differently to how it's currently operating. Being curious about physical sensations invites awareness into our experiences. Unresolved trauma & stress can be accessed through our bodies somatic memories, then explored & processed in a gentle manner.
Unique to my work is the option of Somatic Experiencing (SE) Touch work. SE touch focuses on accessing the deeper shock states held in the body, supporting coherence. Each of us has an innate inner impulse moving us toward well-being, connection & aliveness. As stress is reduced and trauma resolved we have a greater capacity to live the life we imagined.
