I am a registered art therapist with anzacata. My bread and butter is autism and psychosocial disability. I work with an ndis registered provider, ability links, to provide art psychotherapy to both people with a disability and the general public in both individual and group sessions, as well as art as therapy craft and art classes. We have a laser cutter, 3d printers, sublimation printer, cricut, inkjet printer, laser printer, laminator, heat press and are getting new craft tech regularly, so if you are a bit more techy than you are arty we might be the studio for you.

My main focus is autism and psychosocial disability, I offer a trauma informed, aba free therapy environment, I practice with a person centered approach, I am trained in dbt, cbt and solutions focused therapy as well as more traditional art therapy which is much more free form. My studio offers traditional art supplies as well as high tech ones

Ability Links is primarily an ndis provider, for art therapy we are able to invoice for self managed and plan managed clients, we are adding Therapies to our next ndis registration audit in February so after that we will be able to bill agency managed for art therapy. With shorter periods of group therapy I usually have groups of 4 to 5 of the same people consistently for 12-24 weeks of 2 hour weekly sessions, individual sessions are generally 1 hour weekly or fortnightly. I also do dyad work. You can expect to have a brief chat about what's on your mind and then make some art with time to reflect on it together after the art making

I like to use an eclectic approach that is person centered and solutions focused, with elements of CBT, DBT and ACT, but those behavioral Therapies don't work for everyone so I'm happy to leave them in the dust of you have issues with them and simply be person centered
