Welcome! Each person I work with has their own specific needs and goals. Life has it's traumas for us all. Often, my clients are experiencing a lot of emotional pain when we first meet. I respect the courage it has taken for them to reach out for help. Feelings like unhappiness, depression and anxiety grow in isolation. Feeling depressed or anxious makes people ever more isolated and alone. Sharing your experiences and emotional hurt in a safe non-judgemental space is exactly the right way to break out of this cycle and get back to living a connected, full and happy life. I work with individuals, and couples.
I help to clients understand their feelings and I teach grounding techniques to manage emotions, and trauma triggers. I help clients identify their thought patterns. I am trained in psychotherapy so I can help clients identify behaviours that are driven by childhood decisions which opens the possibility for new decisions, behaviours, and relational growth.
I am passionate about helping my clients. I have been assaulted and experienced many of life's traumas (including fighting cancer). Sometimes, life just seems to throw everything at us and all on top of a difficult childhood. I've learned tough times are the best times to change and grow when can we learn to thrive - instead of just to survive. You can too!
