Melissa has been working in private practice for over 10 years, recognising that individuals need to change and focus on growth, be involved in active decision making and she is passionate about assisting people to make positive lifestyle changes. She has extensive experience working with a variety of psychiatric difficulties, working in hospitals for 5 years (with an acute mental health care unit). She will work closely with you, tailoring your therapy to suit you. She works via Telehealth so you can have therapy on video or by phone - you can see her from the comfort of your own home (or car, or office or garden)- anywhere.
Melissa loves working with Adolescents (aged 12 and above) around difficulties including peer conflicts, fitting in, exam anxiety and stress. She also has a passion and interest in working with the LBGTQ community including conflicts around coming out . Whether you are neurodivergent, have PTSD and trauma or Depression and grief, Melissa can support you.
It is a difficult step to reach out and talk to a psychologist who you have never met. At our clinic, we want you to have an experience with a warm and engaging psychologist/therapist-someone you feel will listen to you, understand you and be there to support you. Melissa is this type of therapist.
