Hi. Welcome to 'The Bield Counselling Services'. Bield is an old Scottish word meaning safety, protection; to give confidence, encouragement, assurance. Childhood poverty, immigration stress, nursing and family life, as well as working in pastoral care, Street Chaplaincy and addiction counselling have shown me how acceptance, forgiveness and hope can bring deep healing and peace. My counselling is integrative, acknowledges the impact of family, culture, spirituality, life transitions and is trauma-informed.
