With a relaxed and warm interpersonal style and a passion for providing counselling that works, Cate wants her clients to start seeing results from the very first appointment. Cate strongly believes that knowledge is power and will help clients to understand the 'why' behind what they're experiencing. She uses a variety of evidence based techniques and tailors her approach to the individual.
Cate has specialised knowledge and expertise working with emergency service and military personnel, people experiencing anxiety, workplace stress, burnout, vicarious trauma and PTSD as well as victims of crime, domestic violence and sexual abuse. Cate is also an experienced leader, trainer and supervisor in the social work profession.
As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW), Cate has extensive postgraduate training and experience in the field of mental health. AMHSWs are registered providers under Medicare, allowing clients under a Mental Health Care Plan to access rebates.
