I work with all ages. I know that counselling can support individuals to better understand themselves, to identify what is and is not working for them, and to make positive changes to increase happiness and wellbeing. I have worked with clients struggling with emotional expression, anxiety, depression, OCD, gender and sexuality, neurodivergence, trauma and children with behaviour and anxiety struggles. Each individual is the expert in their own lives and has within them the capacity for growth and healing, but I know that sometimes it can be helpful to have someone walking alongside, supporting the development of insights.
I have post-graduate qualifications in developmental trauma, and counselling and psychotherapy and have written a book about trauma-informed schools. My approach brings together emotion, mind, body and sensory approaches, with a particular interest in helping clients to understanding the biology of stress and how to have more influence over stress responses.
I work with clients for different amounts of time, including single or a short series of sessions, which can be helpful when looking for a touchpoint over a particular issue. I enjoy working across the life-course, and have a strong interest in anxiety, in children's mental health, and LGBTIQA+ mental health. I welcome diversity and aim to be neuro-affirming
