Are you struggling with constant family conflict, tension with parents or children, or feeling trapped in a painful relationship? Maybe you’re reeling from a breakup, burdened by unresolved trauma, or stuck in toxic patterns of supporting others at the cost of yourself. You might feel anxious, drained, or caught in a cycle of trying to “fix” everyone else while your own needs go unmet. I help people break free from these patterns, heal old wounds, set healthier boundaries, and create stronger healthier relationships—so you can finally feel seen, supported, and at peace and regain control in your life.

Do you experience challenging thoughts or behaviour patterns, overwhelming emotions, relationship issues, doubts around your self-worth or life direction that cause you concern? There are countless obstacles, internally and externally that prevent us from living the life we wish to. They may vary from compulsive or anxiety-driven behaviour, stress and anger, or may be felt as a sense of confusion and doubt, overwhelming pain, fear or grief . They could be due to unanticipated or undesired life circumstances or events or simply a general pervading sense of dissatisfaction and unhappiness. It is possible for life to be different.

Life's for sure a roller coaster. Along with the ups, there will naturally be downs - illness, pain, worry, conflict, transitions and loss. Sometimes we hang on for the ride and know who will be in the seat beside us; at other times, we can feel pummelled, adrift or alone in our experience. Being heard, seen and validated can begin a process of deep understanding and change. I am a degree-qualified Therapist and eating disorder clinician who feels passionate about providing ethical, evidence-based support to all clients, no matter their concern. You might like to see me in my CBD or Petersham rooms.

My clients usually want to achieve their full potential in life and take responsibility for the changes they need to make. They want to become more satisfy with their choices in personal and professional life and make meaningful connections with people around them. To achieve that the clients need to work hard on themselves. They do not ask for quick fix in their lives or instant happiness. They engage in the process of therapy fully and become open and ready to explore their own self and their awareness in the environment they live.

Are you constantly asking yourself: ‘Should I stay or leave?’ ‘How do we resolve conflicts?’ ‘Why can't I keep my relationships long term?’ ‘Why do I feel dissatisfied with my life?’ If the answer is ‘yes’ to any of these questions, you are likely to benefit from individual, couple or family relationship counselling. Strong, healthy relationships, whether social or intimate, have a positive impact on our physical and mental well-being. People with poor relationships are more likely to suffer from depression and loneliness. Living in conflict or within a toxic relationship is more damaging than being on your own.

You are infinitely more than your mind. If you’re wondering if there’s more to healing than just talking about problems, welcome to body-mind therapy. A somatic approach to growth and trauma satisfies our intuitive knowing and deep curiosity by actively tapping into the connection between mind and body to ease suffering, and build resilience. Through safe therapeutic relationship, loving presence, and gentle guidance to access our whole being, together we re-pattern unhelpful early imprints. When we invite all of ourselves to show up and heal in a safe space, our strength and capacity for joy expand.

Female Counsellors
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
