Hi, I'm Nicole Hendry, a Registered Psychologist, working with Attuned Psychology in North Adelaide. I have over 10 years experience working across the lifespan and particularly enjoy working with adults, as well as children and teenagers aged 10 and up. My main areas of interest include supporting individuals enhance their wellbeing after experiencing challenging life events. This includes those experiencing grief and loss, trauma, adjusting to illnesses or disabilities within themselves or their family unit, life transitions, depression, anxiety and stress. Life is hard for all of us at times, and you are deserving of support!
I use strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy and tailor my approach to each client. By teaching you to more effectively manage painful emotions, thoughts and memories and clarifying what's important in your life, I can assist you in improving your wellbeing and sense of meaning in life.
A large component of a good therapeutic relationship is in creating an environment of empathy, openness, curiosity and care. Accessing support is a confronting and vulnerable thing to do. It is such a privilege when clients open up and let me into their inner world and I aim to create a space where clients feel safe to talk openly about their challenges.
