I have more than 5 years clinical experience and an additional 12 years in psychology research. I’ve worked in private practice, non-government organisations, employment services, disability services, tertiary education, and visual art. I have experience providing therapy to people across the entire lifespan from various cultural backgrounds. This includes people with mild to severe mental health challenges such as anxiety, stress, and mood disorders as well as general self-understanding and development.
I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults. This includes supporting important life transitions such as 1) primary to high school 2) high school to the ‘adult world’ 3) university to a profession 4) relationship changes 5) relocating to a new location 5) relocating to a new area, and 6) accumulation of stressors.
I use a range evidence-based treatments adapted the client’s needs including psychoeducation, person-centred counselling, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioural therapy CBT (including DBT, ACT & Solution focused informed activities). I am developing skills in experiential therapy, trauma treatment, and the development of resilience.
