Marie offers a warm, empathic and collaborative approach to psychotherapy and utilises evidence-based treatments to support individuals to reach their identified goals. She has 6-years experience working with a wide range of presentations in community and private mental health sectors, with a focus on anxiety and related disorders, borderline personality disorder, depression, sleep and insomnia issues, relationship problems, life transitions, addiction and stress. She is passionate about supporting teenagers (17-years and above) and adults to understand their emotional problems and improve their mental wellbeing.
She uses a number of therapeutic styles; however, tailors her approach to suit the needs and goals of each individual. She looks to understand how each facet of health (biological, psychological and social) impacts the individual. Outside of her private practice she works in a hospital setting facilitating groups and offering short-term therapeutic support.
