Welcome to Leanne May Therapy. I am a Psychotherapist and Counsellor, passionate about helping people improve their mental health and assisting them to navigate difficult times in their lives. As an integrative Psychotherapist, I incorporate a holistic approach to therapy that includes the mind and body and supports exploring emotions. In collaboration, we can develop new ways, and perspectives and provide strategies where I can help people to help themselves. I welcome clients from all backgrounds to my therapy sessions, where they can share their stories in a safe, confidential space and where they can be truly listened to.
I mostly use a person-centred approach and have a particular interest in emotion-focused therapy. This therapy can be used for exploring emotions and dealing with unfished business. I also incorporate mindfulness in my therapy sessions and take into account a person's ecosystem.
My life experiences, and training, helps me to come from a place of empathy, care, and an understanding that life is challenging. I applaud people for reaching out when they need help and believe it is a sign of courage, to want to gain perspective to understand their experience and their emotions.
