Laura is a registered Medicare provider with over 20 years’ experience working in a professional capacity with children, adults, couples and families in various mental health, disability, and educational settings. Laura is passionate about supporting the quality of therapists and continues to enjoy her additional role as a supervisor for qualified practitioners/students. Laura adopts an eclectic approach to counselling incorporating many contemporary models, which include Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Family & Couples Therapy, Solution-focused and EMDR to address areas of concern and difficulty.
My aim is to provide a quality, professional and accessible service where clients feel safe and heard. I will listen to your unique life story and help you clarify the issues, explore options and develop strategies that will assist you on your journey to nurturing a happier and healthier mind.
I am passionate and committed to service provision that is holistic, empowering and person-centred. As a registered Medicare Provider I am able to offer Medicare rebates on presentation of a Mental Health Care plan/referral from your GP. You are also welcome to attend counselling without a referral. We all need a bit of support sometimes, so let's talk!
