Facing trauma, anxiety, or feeling lost? You seek understanding, relief, and a path to healing. Your goal is to find peace, regain control, and build fulfilling connections. You're not alone. With a blend of compassion, professional experience and evidence-based therapies, I'm here to guide your journey to healing, growth, resilience and an improved quality of life. If you're ready for change and to live your fullest life, let's book your first session. Together, we'll navigate your path to recovery and happiness. You can start your transformation today.
I specialise in working alongside clients through their healing journey after trauma. Whether single events or chronically stressful living arrangements. Utilising evidence-based therapies tailored to your unique needs, such as EMDR & Schema therapy for processing traumatic memories, DBT & CBT for regulating emotions and altering negative thought patterns.
Choosing a counsellor can be uncomfortable. You are welcome to book a 15 minute phone or in-person discovery appointment where we can be introduced and see if you feel comfortable to begin our counselling sessions. We can agree on a number of sessions and how often you would like to come, so you can review our progress as we go and work within your budget.

Managing Your Nervous System
![Photo of Julie Jamieson, ACA-L3, Counsellor](https://photos.psychologytoday.com/38c13f82-383b-4d98-924a-70bd2a3216c0/1/320x400.jpeg)
Learning about your nervous system through the Polyvagal Theory provides an understanding of how anxiety, trauma responses, and reactiveness can make life uncomfortable, uncontrolled and exhausting. More commonly known as your fight/flight response, learning to manage this system so that you spend more of your day within your window of tolerance, brings relief and hope to many. This 6 week program begins to stabilise the foundation of your emotional experiences and provides a tool kit of strategies to use daily and in preparation for psychotherapies such as DBT, CBT, EMDR and others. Available in person and online.
