I love working with individuals and couples who are motivated to understand themselves and each other better, and to change the negative patterns that both cause and result from attachment distress. Together we can make sense of what goes wrong and help you heal and change the negative patterns that get you stuck, whether within yourself or with others. Sometimes this may involve creating enough safety to help you recognise and process past relational or attachment trauma. Sometimes it can involve recognising and exploring the experience of living with neurology that works differently than that of the majority of people.
I work through an attachment, trauma-informed, systemic lens to help you change negative patterns with self and others. For relationship work, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy to help you create the secure base and safe haven that we all need as human beings. For individual work, we may use Attachment Focused EMDR to help heal past attachment wounds.
