I am a body-oriented and neurobiology-affirming based trauma Psychotherapist. I specialise in somatic-expressive-experiential modalities to navigate the impact of complex trauma, chronic stress/ pain, anxiety, depression and burnout. With relational presence & intersecting the expressive art(s), Psychodrama, somatics and group processes, I foreground the wisdom of the body/ brain/heart in individual therapy. My focus is on resourcing & expanding our ability to listen to our emotions, imagination and impulses. If you are looking at attuned body led approach in service of ease, acceptance & validation, you are at the right place.
I focus on experiential modalities to feel, see, move, sound and sense our internal experiences in the present moment. My approach of being with what is present is empowering rather than processing our past. Mirroring and validating affirms our need for acceptance and worth. The creative experiential modes offers safe and containing ways to express ourselves
The medical-cognitive-behavioural-psychological frameworks override our (lived) body and classifies everything as dysfunction, disorder or disease. We miss the profound knowing of our bodies wisdom.Affirming your choices (even the unconscious ones) develops the capacity to engage with absences, complications, wounds, disruptions, stressors and/or trauma.
