I provide a holistic approach to counselling and have been a grief counsellor for over 20 years allowing clients to gently explore the 'stuck' place in their grieving cycle. I work from an emotionally focused perspective though also include a diverse range of therapies to suit individual needs. I believe my role as a counsellor is one of guidance to assist a person to work through the various emotions they have brought to counselling. I use a person centred approach and also believe the most important part of the client/counsellor relationship is the rapport that is built by the trust that develops in the process.
I have extensive experience with post separation issues, domestic violence and I specialise in grief and loss. I work with individuals, couples and children.
I have extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy though also have training in a diverse range of therapies to suit an individual, couples or child's needs always working from a holistic and person centred approach in a gentle non-judgemental way, allowing for a comfortable place for a client to begin their journey.
