My approach to therapy is to use an integrated model because every person I work with is a unique individual with their own set of circumstances. I'm open minded, non judgemental and interested in helping clients to explore the contents of their hearts and minds to better understand their internal struggles, interpersonal relationships and how they exist in the world.
I focus on establishing a warm, trusting connection before drawing upon the most appropriate techniques to suit your personal situation and needs. Person-centred Therapy, Psychodynamic, Existential, Interpersonal, Process Oriented Emotion Focussed Therapy and Solution Focussed Therapy are some of the treatment styles I utilise.
Most of my experience as a psychotherapist has been in the realm of adolescent mental health as well as within the LGBTIQA+ community, however I relate naturally to most folks. I'm a proud parent, longtime yogi, community radio volunteer and am eternally fascinated by humans, their stories & lives. I welcome your enquiry and look forward to meeting you.
