Contact me if you are 1: feeling isolated, in a low mood, sad or despondent and you have been approved for a Mental Health Care Plan. 2: You have been diagnosed with a chronic illness including Fibromyalgia or a life limiting illness such as Cancer, MND, to name a few. 3: You are approaching the end of your life due to illness. 4: You wish to discuss Voluntary Assisted Dying. 5: You are a DVA White or Gold Card holder. 6: You have experienced trauma including any form of violence and have been approved by Victims Services in NSW or ACT. 7: You are an elder in your family and have been exposed to abuse by family or other individuals
I provide trauma informed counselling for those diagnosed with anxiety, depression, adjusting to illness, and approaching the end of life, people challenged by ageing, changes to cognition, individuals caring for others. I use Focussed Psychological Strategies such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, CBT + Mindfulness, Interpersonal Therapy, Grief and Loss.
I have 22 years experience as a Social Worker in the health sector supporting individuals impacted by a range of issues. I am committed to social & natural justice, confidentiality, understanding that we are not all treated equally and unable to access resources easily and experience imbalances in their lives caused by ever changing government policies.
