My interest lies in helping individuals living with trauma, anxiety-related disorders, interpersonal difficulties and emotional regulation issues. I help clients improve their relationship with themselves (and by extension others) through developing a self-compassionate understanding of their emotional difficulties. From this place we move forward together to process "stuck" memories and explore the development of new ways of being in the world.
I use a blend of trauma-informed approaches (such as EMDR and DBT) and art therapy to help clients understand their past and shift unhelpful (and often unconscious) patterns. I am also strongly influenced by mindfulness-based therapies such as ACT, compassion focused therapies, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
I welcome contact from you to talk more about how we can work together! With a GP referral, you will be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $128.40 for up to 20 sessions in a year. Private Health rebates may also be available.
