Building trust is one of the goals of my counselling practice. I take time to get to know you and build a rapport to truly understand your concerns, so that we may find solutions to your problems. My experience is diverse, and I encourage people from all walks of life to contact me. The choice is yours; you can take a decision on whether you wish to continue counselling with me or choose another path.
I offer Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), narrative therapy and person-centred therapy, though I often use mixed methods as this suits many of my clients. If I can help someone that adds value to both parties. Constant professional development courses help me keep abreast of new knowledge in the field to provide an authentic service to suit your needs.
In the past I engaged in unpaid social work affiliated to my church, providing a service to persons displaced by war and Tsunami in my country of origin, and short-term voluntary work at an aboriginal youth centre, as well as unpaid ad hoc counselling service at a not-for-profit. My personal experiences enhanced my understanding and help me bond with you.
