Welcome Mothers ! My Art Therapy & Psychotherapy sessions with Mumma's are collaborative, person-centred & directed by your needs. I view each Mother I work with as an expert in her own life. My role is to fully understand your lived experience of Mothering & walk beside you with empathy, understanding & compassion. "Creating Motherhood" provides "Mother to Mother" mental health support to nourish, nurture & empower you through the joys & challenges of Motherhood. As a trauma informed, multi-modal arts therapist, I am trained to use multiple creative modalities in sessions that safely support your exploration of Matrescence.
My work with Mothers focuses on providing a nourishing & nurturing environment for your nervous system. We are often overloaded with sensory stimulation as the providers of support for our children & the people in our lives. I view my time with you as a sacred time for you to "slow down" & take "time for yourself" & check in with what "you" need.
Motherhood can bring up feelings of isolation, grief & loss, changes in identity & purpose & past trauma from childhood. Pre & postpartum is a time of great transformation & change for women & I hold this transition with great reverence & care. I also draw on my own lived experience of Motherhood which is one of my greatest strengths as a therapist.
