Amanda focuses on creating a safe space where the client feels able to explore and make sense of their internal world and with new understanding create change in their life. She views therapeutic work as a partnership with the client, each working together to facilitate the client realising their goals.
Amanda is experienced in working with adults (18+ years of age) dealing with: Anxiety Depression Self-esteem Grief and loss Relationship issues Life transitions such as first-time motherhood/parenthood.
Over the course of her working history Amanda has written and co-facilitated group programs for young people navigating their way through grief and loss, and for young people and their primary carers experiencing attachment disruption. She has provided therapy to individuals and couples primarily coming from an attachment framework.
