My journey over the past fifteen years demonstrates that I am a caring and conscientious Leader, Psychologist,Counsellor, Mediator, Trainer and Researcher with extensive knowledge and experience across private and public sectors, providing assessment, advice, support, rehabilitation and treatment to a wide range of clients. I have worked with clients who have experienced trauma, injury, learning and intellectual difficulties, hardship, violence and other challenges. I have a well-developed strategic and innovative mind that enables me to assist others overcome psychological barriers that often preclude and disadvantage individuals.
I empower individuals through trauma informed practices, motivational interviewing techniques; aligning their values with agreed goals, shifting their mindset and behavioural paradigm to increase their self-esteem whilst maintaining a clear concurrent focus on their psychological health intervention.
I use a person-centred approach treating each person respectfully as an individual human being, and not just as a condition to be treated. It involves seeking out and understanding what is important to the patient, their families, carers and support people, fostering trust and establishing mutual respect.
