I am a strong advocate for breaking down social taboos surrounding mental health. The personal mental health journey can be isolating, and the individual can often feel alone, unaccepted and excluded. My aim is to understand their issues and legitimise their experiences, creating an environment where they feel safe, can express their needs and identify their goals. My focus is creating a strong therapeutic alliance, resulting in a tailored treatment plan.
I have a particular interest in grief, loss and trauma, and also working with anxiety, depression and life changes/transitions. I currently work with individuals across the lifespan (16+ years).
I provide my clients unconditional acceptance and the space in which they can express themselves freely. My aim is to work in collaboration with the client so their mental health journey is shared. Working with my clients and seeing them become empowered is a privilege.
