You are not what happened to you - you are what you choose to become. I support adults and children to heal and grow through life's challenges. I believe that you have the strength not just to survive, but to truly thrive. Sometimes we may find ourselves struggling with who we are and why we do what we do. We may have behaviours we would like to change or relationships we would like to enrich. Sharing is a big step towards taking care of one's emotional health. I am here to walk the journey with you.
I am trained in EMDR and specialise in trauma recovery. The word trauma means 'wound' or hurt. It is not what happens to us, but what happens inside of us as a result of that hurt. Trauma is the invisible force that shapes our lives. It shapes the way we live, the way we love and the way we make sense of the world. It is the root of our deepest wounds.
My symbol - Lotus flowers are renowned for their ability to blossom with such unblemished beauty from the murky waters of even the muddiest pond. We too have an ability to break free and bloom from the murkiness of our lives. No matter how dark times can seem at times, there is always potential for growth. My goal is to support your positive life growth.
