Bethany, is a warm, empathetic, authentic clinician/registered psychologist. With over 10 years experience providing counselling support to individuals impacted by trauma as well as to those experiencing a range of challenging life issues. Bethany has worked with clients to help them achieve greater awareness and develop skills to life's hardships. Bethany has supported clients faced with anxiety, depression, grief and personal issues. Bethany has also supported family members who are struggling in supporting their loved ones who have been impacted by dementia.
The therapeutic alliance is is a very important component to therapy success. Bethany builds rapport easily with clients and ensures open and transparent communication. Each client needs are different and Bethany tailors the therapy sessions to reflect this and align with therapy goals.
Bethany utilises a range of evidence based modalities and interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. Bethany is EMDR trained and works from a strengths based approach inviting clients to explore and build on their positive attributes in a safe and supportive environment.
