I love working with teens and adults who are facing challenges in their lives that they may feel are insurmountable. They may be struggling with grief, identity, big transitions or general feelings of demotivation, depression and anxiety. They may be having problems communicating or setting boundaries in relationships and need someone to walk alongside them in finding ways to build healthier coping strategies, begin to notice the beauty in life or get their spark back.
The expressive arts can help to tap into subconscious thoughts, reactions and feelings and is a really calming, fun and interesting way to access our selves. My clients often leave the studio feeling like they're shouldering a less-heavy burden and that they have more clarity around the issues they are facing.
Life throws all sorts of curveballs. It's a necessary skill to be able to dodge or deal with them before things fall to pieces and these skills can be learned!
